Dahabati

Know in seconds if a jeweller's gold price is fair

Enter the weight, the karat and the asking price. Dahabati shows how much of it is making charge and, unless it's already a great deal, a price to aim for and how much to ask off.

See the making charge on its own

Dahabati compares the asking price with the value of that gold at today's price, in your currency, and shows the verdict on a five-step gauge, from Excellent deal to Poor deal. The making charge appears in total, per gram and as a percentage on top of the gold value.

The result's breakdown: the seller's asking price, the local gold value, the total craftsmanship, craftsmanship per gram and as a percentage, the karat and the weight

What your gold is worth today

Save your pieces in My Gold with a photo, the weight, the karat and what you paid, and see an estimate of their gold value at the latest price, karat by karat. It counts the gold only: not the craftsmanship, and not what a shop would pay to buy it back.

My Gold: the total value of your gold savings today, and your saved pieces with their weight, karat and value
The gold price screen: reference prices per gram for each karat, in the local currency

Today's gold price, per karat

Reference prices per gram and per troy ounce for 24K, 22K, 21K, 18K, 14K, 10K and 9K, in your currency. They're refreshed on a schedule: reference prices, not live quotes, and shop prices can differ.

The share card: the result as a card to send to family

Ask your family before you buy

Buying gold is often a family decision. Send the result as a card to the people you'd ask anyway.

What Dahabati doesn't do

It works from the weight and karat you enter: it doesn't test whether gold is real, or its purity. It isn't financial advice, and it can't promise that a jeweller will accept a lower price.
